Hi everyone!!! I am married to a US Marine and am a mother of 3. I recently took on 2 nephews. They were in much more need at the time. Now we are all in need. My husband is in Iraq fighting for our country. I work a full-time job and a mother and aunt full-time as well. Anyhow, we have been on the base housing list for more than a year now only to find out that they had us on the wrong list. So, it will be longer now to get in. In this year of waiting, we have struggled left and right to make ends meet and try to provide food and power in our home for the kids. We have only lived here in California for a year and have had the worst luck. We thought that we would be getting our full allowance only to find out they give you a % of the allowance. Anyhow we wanted to be able to send our kids to a better school and enjoy a safer environment. So, we moved to a nicer neighborhood. Only we have not paid any bills on time we are way behind and are about to get them turned off. Our rent is now 20 days past due and we will not have enough on the 1st to pay anything again. We are digging a whole and it keeps getting deeper. We have applied for many loans and turned down wach time because we have too much debt to ratio. Our credit cards are very much behind and we are about to get evicted soon. I don't know what else to do. We barely have any food in the house. We have barely been hanging on to our cell so we can talk to my husband. Thank go for the $dollar store calling card. School is about to start we have no money for school clothes or supplies. To be honest I don't even know if we will have a roof over our head before school starts. All we need is enough money to get ahead and stay ahead. We were not even trying to look for a hand out we were willing to pay back the loans. No one seems to want to give us this chance. I went to the Dr yesterday to find out this is what is making my Asthma really bad, my blood pressure worse and have now missed 3 days of work that I can not afford to do. They will not let me work under these conditions until the Dr realeases me. Please if anyone can help us get ahead please help us. Forever Thankful. God Bless!
